Spider-Man on Soul Train

A group or musician named Ramsey Lewis produced a song called “Spider-Man” back in the 1970’s. I’ve used this as a podcast opening. I’m not sure if this clip is edited with the song over the video or if these folks are actually dancing to the tune. Either way this clip is awesome.

Well, there was that 1966 jazz album called "Spider-man" - but that didn't have a dance club single!

Apparently this WAS a single in 1975 from Ramsey Lewis, who was a crossover jazz fusion artist (like Herbie Hancock). Can't believe I've never heard of this before. Might be the first single to ever be released about Spider-man (predates the rock reflections of a superhero record?) Here are some links I found:http://www.allmusic.com/album/dont-it-feel-good-lp-mw0000867795 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramsey_Lewis
