Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield returned to work to shoot additional scenes for the upcoming Spider-Man sequel. Emma Stone joined them at the Brooklyn shoot.
According to the UK’s Daily News, Stone explains Gwen’s role in the upcoming movie:
“She saves him (Peter) more than he saves her. She’s incredibly helpful to Spider-Man. He’s the muscle, she’s the brains.”
Meanwhile, Shailene Woodley – formerly cast as Mary Jane Watson for the Spider-Man sequel before the part was removed – spoke to MTV about the possibility of her returning to play Mary Jane.
“I don’t know anything, but seeing as how they picked up the next two ‘Divergent’ films, I don’t know how I would keep my sanity with two big action films in one year. But anything can happen.”
Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2nd.
