Two items from the Spidey movie sequel front today. First up, via comicbook.com – a couple of new teaser images have come out for the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2 spot (or spots) that will be seen this coming Sunday during Super Bowl XLVIII. Another was previously released on the 27th.
And in other Spidey sequel news Emma Stone spoke with Ryan Seacrest about Gwen’s role in Spider-Man’s cinematic journey:
When it comes to what fans can expect, Emma shares: ”Basically they’re going to see the continuation of the Spider Man story, which is the hero’s journey, and he’s up against a whole new squadron of villains and he’s struggling with promises he’s made in the last movie and the consequences of making those and what it’s like to be in love with somebody who you promised to not see anymore.”
As for what will become of her character, Emma admits, ”I think the intention the whole time has been to tell Gwen’s story has closely to the comic as possible,” but she warns we’ll have to stay tuned to see what happens.
Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings into theaters May 2nd.
