Forget Uncle Ben. Don’t even think about Nathan Lubensky or Willie Lumpkin. Forget Jarvis and JJ Senior. As demonstrated in “Amazing Spider-Man” issue 157, Aunt May’s true love will always be Doctor Octopus. He’s such a tease.

obnoxiousMarvel has released this teaser picture for Amazing Spider-Man # 600. Lets do our best Wheel of Fortune impresson and try to fill in the letters.

tobeykirstenGotta love awkward award shows. Feel free to leave a funny word balloon or caption to this pic.

I think this was one of my childhood memories where I realized just how powerful comics can be. It’s from Amazing Spider-Man # 248 and the story is titled “The Kid Who Collected Spider-Man.” It’s by two of my favorites, Roger Stern and Ron Frenz.

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up about a new section of Examiner.com that I’ve convinced them to let me start up centering on Spidey.

For those of you who don’t know, Examiner is a news website which was placed as a top 300 visited webpage by Quantcast. It employs thousands of writers and they each are given topics sometimes as broad as “Book Examiner” or as focused as “Survivor Examiner”. I’ve been doing articles as “Batman Examiner”for the past few months. I was able to convince them that Spidey deserved a section as well. Obviously to prove this right I need to spread the word and Brad has been kind enough to let me do it here. It’s not Newsarama or Comic Book Resources, but I like to think it could be a useful section for the Examiner site. So please check out “Spider-Man Examiner” and send suggestions and all hate mail to me.

spectacularspidermananiln8Our friend Producer Greg Weisman has posted a note on his Ask Greg website. He says that Spectacular Spider-Man is doing great on it’s new home at Disney XD. Some of the ratings are up 279% in some timeslots.
Greg also mentions that Disney will start season two of the show on June 22nd so set your DVR’s. If you’re a Nielsen household, say you’ve watched it twice. :)
