For those of you that haven’t heard, this website has an original, ongoing, fan made webseries starring our favorite webslinger in brand new adventures set firmly within the original continuity. No history has been washed away, but Spider-Man is once again married to his beautiful and loving wife, Mary Jane Parker.

In “Spider-Man Black Part 5 – Goblins Fill My Skies,” you’ll finally learn the true plan of the Black Spider. You’ll witness the first brutal battle between the Goblin King and the Grey Goblin. You’ll see what MJ, Flash, and Carlie are doing during all this. And you’ll even hear a few familiar voices from the Marvel Universe at large. This one’s been a long time coming, so sit back, grab a Mountain Dew in honor of BD, and enjoy!

The Commentary

Before I get into this review I want to make it absolutely clear that any commentary written here is mine and mine alone. It is my perception of the issue at hand. I realize there are some people that dug this issue and some of those people are friends of mine and I am by no means trying to insult anyone that is excited for this storyline. I like it when people are jazzed about the books they read. It means that someone is doing something right.

Hasbro is continuing to release even more 3.5 inch Spider-Man toys. Marvelous News has a gallery of them all. I’m a fan of the taller Marvel Legends line, I wish they’d release more of those figures. Anyone collect these smaller figures?

Stan Lee was presented the Comic Con Icon Award on the 2009 Scream Awards. Actor Tobey Maguire presented the legend with the award. Stan has one of the coolest intros of all time. Who wouldn’t want to ride a flying Spider! Check it out, Stan is such a cool icon!
