Don’t Stop Believin’, Miles will be behind the mask soon enough. However, our new Ultimate hero doesn’t need a mask to save lives as he gets his first taste of heroics in this issue. Miles doesn’t dig his new powers too much, but he is enjoying the new responsibilities that come with his enrollment at the Brooklyn Visions Academy… at least until the events of the Ultimate Death of Spider-Man catch up to Miles and the other students at the school. Join me now as Miles continues his journey towards super hero-dom.

Against the wishes of his father, Miles and Ganke visit his Uncle Aaron to learn more about the mysterious spider. (more…)
A robber dressed in a Spider-Man mask has hit several convenience stores in North Carolina. Here is raw video of him holding up a store for cartons of Newport cigarettes and taking cash.
I was bitten by a radioactive spider. It gave me super human strength, speed, and other awesome abilities. At first it was cool. I used my powers to become a celebrity. Then my uncle was killed by and I could have stopped. I’m doing my best to make up for that. I’m Peter Parker. You can call me Spider-Man.
CBR is reporting that an ongoing Scarlet Spider series will be hitting the stands. No launch date has been released nor any hints on who is behind the mask. They just released this image. What are your thoughts?
Point. Set. Match. Osborn. The man who had recently cast a dark shadow over the Marvel Universe has had enough of sitting in a prison cell. The man behind the Green Goblin mask is ready to break free and the only thing standing between him and his Goblin Cult fanatics are the New Avengers. Marvel’s latest comic in the .1 initiative brings readers up to speed on what trouble the New Avengers have found themselves in. For more information on what Norman has been up to since his fall from grace, make sure to check out butters’ review of the Osborn miniseries here, here, here and here.

Plot: Norman Osborn sits in captivity in his cell in the Raft, a maximum security prison. When Osborn looks over his shoulder he sees a large, grotesque Goblin.
Spider-Island approaches its climax in part 5, and its several plot threads finally start to pull together into a semicoherent whole. The narrative is still pretty ADD, and there’s still some filler, but it’s at least got me curious about how all this insanity is going to conclude itself.
Star Wars Episode IV… er, I mean, Spider-Island Part 5: A New Hope
The race for the cure is reaching its climax, and the Queen’s had enough! Will Spider-Man be able to stop her and the Jackal from contaminating the whole planet with Spider-Creatures?
History Note: Hickman’s run can get really confusing at times, so I’m going to do a little bit note each issue about a character. Today’s is on Crystalia Amaquelin, more commonly known as Crystal.
Powers: Crystal was exposed to the Terrigen Mists, a natural mutagen that gave her the ability to manipulate the four Greek elements; Earth, Wind, Fire, and Air, on a molecular level.
History: Man, Crystal has been around. She’s the younger sister of Black Bolt’s wife Medusa, and has dated Johnny Storm and the Sentry. She also married the mutant Quicksilver and conceived a child with him, but Black Bolt annulled their marriage after Quicksilver tried to restore mutant powers post M-Day with the Terrigan Mists.
Importance to FF: Black Bolt arranged her marriage to Ronan the Accuser of the Kree Nation, to strengthen bonds between the Kree and the Inhumans. After Black Bolt’s death, she and her husband ruled the Inhumans for awhile, until Black Bolt returned. She choose to remain with her husband rather than rejoin her people.
I found this while surfing the other day. I don’t remember it but it is awesome none-the-less. We are all spoiled with modern graphics. Back in the days, Spidey as a red dot and the Green Goblin was a green dot.
Hasbro has released the packaging of the awesome new Mini Muggs Maximum Carnage set. It will be on sale at the New York Comic Con. It will also be available at the Hasbro Toy Shop. I’m down for a set, I love it!
Tiiiiime is on my side, yes it is. Time is not on Spider-Man’s side, though. Peter Parker must team up with his 2099 counterpart, Miguel O’Hara, to stop the evil Alchemax scientist Walker Sloan from traveling back in time and alternating history. To save time I am going to forgo the whole plot summary and just assume everyone has had a chance to play Beenox’s latest Spider-Man video game. If not, then stop wasting your time and go pick up Spidey’s latest game in console format. No wait! First take some time to read the latest review, if you don’t mind the spoilers, that is.
Spider-Man: Edge of Time
Platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS and 3DS Style: Single Player Action-Adventure, Platformer Developer: Beenox Publisher: Activision
Story and Writing: I enjoy science fiction, but too much of it can make my head spin. Alternate dimensions and time travel can result in a convoluted story, but it’s something that Spider-Man has been associated with on numerous occasions. Beenox employed both of these devices in both their entries in the Spider-Man gaming franchise, but this time they chose to focus on just two alternate Spider-Men. I’m glad they trimmed the universes to two instead of the four they used in 2010’s Shattered Dimensions and I think that they have improved as a whole with their sophomore stab at Spidey. (more…)
Here is the latest Spider-Girl showing her love of the web-head. Now her panties may say DC, but look at the comics behind her. Yup, she’s a fan of the Clone Saga.
Marvel.com sent me this press release. It seems they’re competiting with DC by offering a free digital version of the book. DC charged the customer an extra dollar. Thoughts? The two covers are variants for the book. (more…)
What are you doing? Don’t you realize that Spider-Man: Edge of Time is now out and available to play? The new game has been calling my name all day, but due to being out of town for a wedding this past weekend (congrats to my friend Gavin and his new wife Sarah!), I haven’t had a chance to play it. Instead, I’ve been working hard to get you the latest Ultimate Spider-Man review. Sorry for the delay, but now that the review is out I can finally pick up my controller and take the new game for a spin. Wait… what? You say that Ultimate Spider-Man #3 comes out tomorrow… sigh, we shall dance another time I guess Edge of Time. Hopefully some of you folks are luckier than I and have had the chance to play it for me.

Writer Peter David is one of my favorite writers. He wrote the classic “Sin Eater” storyline, he also had an excelent run on the “Friendly Neighborhood” title. Now he is asking for your help to restore a friendly neighborhood theater in Jacksonville,Florida.
His daughter Shana is heading up the project and she’s only at 50% of her goal. Here’s a little bit of history about the project on David’s website.
So please help the David’s reach their goal and donate now! The deadline is in four days. Crawlspacer’s unite!
