Spider-Man Game Set for Release 2018

Spider-Man is once again back  in the lime light following the recent movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that have seen Spider-Man/ Peter Parker team up with Iron Man/ Tony Stark and the rest of the Avengers ( not forgetting the Guardians of the Galaxy as
well). But it doesn’t end there, as Insomniac Games are set to release their new Spider-Man game in 2018 that surprisingly will not tie in with the events portrayed in Spider-Man’s recent appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but will based more on the traditional comic book storylines.

Players will take on the role of Spider-Man as swings from building to building, explore the city of New York protecting its denizens all the way. Not only will the player be able to explore New York’s streets but they will even be able to enter Peter Parker’s Apartment. Among the villains that Spider-Man encounters is Wilson Fisk (also known as Kingpin) as well as other famous faces from the Marvel Universe.

E3 2017 – Spider-Man is coming home

The Spider-Man game was announced at the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and 2017s Electronic Entertainment Expo saw the release of its first gameplay trailer that showcased a combat system based upon that used in Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham games. The 2018 release date is positioned to avoid competition with this year’s release of heavy hitters such as Middle Earth: Shadow of War, Call of Duty WW2, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Whilst the combat system may be familiar, the new game introduces a movement system that more accurately reflects the acrobatics and parkour-like abilities using more of the environment when it comes to navigating around New York City. Insomniac Games and Marvel have teamed up to create an authentic and brand new Spider-Man story. You will play an experienced Peter Parker who is more masterful in fighting crime in New York City but also has to balance his chaotic personal life, his career as well as the fate of nine million New Yorkers from the villains in the big apple.

Spider-Man has always been a firm favorite in the Marvel stable of superheroes and having recently joined the host of heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe both in Spider-Man: Homecoming and in Avengers: Infinity War  the time is right for a new Spider-Man game and this realization of Spider-Man promises to live up to our expectations of who and what Spider-Man/ Peter Parker should be as a playable character.
