I admire the valuable info you provide in your articles. I will bookmark your blog and have my kids check up here generally. I am quite sure they will learn lots of new stuff here than anybody else!

Actually I do remember Psylocke having the ability to teleport through shadows in the comics…
The actress did say during a Wizard interview that her character does have the previously mentioned ability and the ability to wield Psy-blades.
The real problem came between Brett Ratner (director extraordinaire) and Zak Penn (writer). Zak didn’t originally intend for the character to be Psylocke, yet Ratner insisted that it was Psylocke.
So it’s really an even toss up here and not a great example of someone not researching their character.
If it looks like a duck talks but talks like a rabbit do you call it a rabbit? (I prefer the term Ducbit personally)
Hell, I’m just as confused as she probably ever was. Who really wants to say they played “unknown” character number 36 anyways?
A really great example would be the entire cast of the Dragon Ball evolution movie.
DBZ is a popular franchise but they have effectively screwed themselves from ever going main stream like Mortal Kombat did.
James Marsters was probably the only person who actually studied up on his role.
IIRC Tobey hadn’t read the comics until he got cast, then read the first 60 issues of ASM. Garfield’s letting on that he’s a fan, so it could be interesting.
More often than not, actors put on airs that they’ve always been huge fans. The worst offender I remember was the actress who played Psylocke, who claimed to have been a huge fan of hers for years. Considering the amount of screentime Psylocke had in X-3 alone, aside from the fact that they gave her the wrong freakin’ powers, who can believe anything.
But I’m behind Garfield’s casting. He has the look down better than Tobey did.
Everytime i see something like this I always wonder if they actualy read the comics or if everything they know they get from the movies and or what they have heard
