It begins everyone, as I begin the first review of the 9 part Death Spiral storyline by Joe Kelly, Al Ewing, Charles Soule with art by Jesus Saiz. While the hook for the story is there. I also love the characterization of Eddie Brock and Carnage in the story. But of course we have to see that Ben Reilly really did ruin Peter’s job… again.

  1. It’s kind of like the Guardians Lite are mentioned but everything with Hellgate accept for a passing talk in Amazing this week was: “Eh, who cares. “

  2. I did laugh at how Hellgate and his planet’s imminent destruction was not mentioned at all. A planet-wide catastrophe, and no one in the comic (or the readers) seems to care.

  3. I guess if Ben’s shenanigans as Peter somehow plays an important part in the resolution of Death Spiral, maybe it’ll all makes sense and be worth it, but it seems to me, at least right now, it’s just adding needless complication to the story — almost like it has to be acknowledged because that’s where Amazing left off.
