Back in the 1980s Cannon Pictures was planning on making a live action Spider-Man movie. It never got off the ground, but evidently they made a teaser trailer. I’d never seen this before today. I love how late legendary Don Lafontaine was doing the voice over. What are your thoughts?

Hey Brad, long time reader… brand new poster. I’m been a fan of both Superman and Spider-man since I could crawl. (Bad pun intended) Michael (who I am also a fan of) is correct regarding the music in the trailer. It is from the first Superman movie. The name of the theme is “Destruction of Krypton.”
Isn’t Cannon the group that made the cheap Fantastic Four and Captain America movies just to keep hold of the rights?
Here’s the teaser poster. http://img535.imageshack.us/i/spiderman1986poster01.jpg/
I’m not convinced this is real. I’ve never heard of the director they mention.
There’s really not much to say considering it’s a still picture, but Lafontaine can sure hype the heck out of anything!
Michael,
Was the music from Superman 4? I didn’t recognize it.
They’re using music from SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE.
This makes me laugh.
I heard of this movie, but didn’t know that they made a teaser for it. If I remember correctly, Doc Ock was supposed to be the villain in it.
^In the 80s, hell naw they wouldn’t have.
Never head of this either, great find Brad.
They didnt even give Ditko any credit
