Treyvon Williams on Spider-Variants of the Week 6/17/26: “I love that German Peralta cover.” Jun 19, 22:33

we were talking about this at club (comic-book club XD) yesterday, actually, about 2 days ago one of the members dropped that picture of the black kid on our facebook page and we were all like “WHAT THE FUCK?” and our reaction was pretty similar to Coldberts lol. And let me tell you, comic book readers, did not find this a good idea at all, even our “black” members, they were all complaining and cracking jokes about this. Like for real, I’m not racist (I’m actually hispanic) but if we wanna touch that topic, then if anything this “new” spiderman is actually insulting. Like if marvel wants to introduce characters from different backgrounds, or attract a more diverse public, then just make up a new super hero with those characteristics. like I feel that if i read this, i will not be satisfied because I am used to Peter Parker and his nerdy personality. Also I am not saying that that was marvel’s intention. i am aware that this is the ultimate universe but I can’t stop my skepticism.
I’m watching this on my TV right now, this is the weirdest way I have found out about huge comic book news.
Lol. Thing is though we have to be delicate with race thing, but then it’s like true, will we have a gay Batman? or etc. I don’t want a race just tossed in but introduced with care love and respect of that culture. 🙂
I love the “what issues cover were you on?”
Mildly funny but he can and has done better.
Pretty funny.
The funny is if this was 2 months later he wouldn’t be able to use the “what cover of ASM are you on” line thanks to the Marvels latest gimmick
XD That’s what I’m talking about.
