Thanks to Big Al on our message board for finding these. Evidently in Astonishing Spider-Man #57, which was released in the UK back in 2000, the issue featured a back up story with Peter reacting to the Clone Saga. No writer is attached but Al suspects J.M. DeMatteis wrote it. Check it out, it’s an interesting read.

@12-Glad to hear it.
@11 – ooohhh… Yeah, I did enjoy it. It’s not everyday we get to really hear Peter’s inner thoughts and feelings.
@#10-I can’t stand Otto. But I was actually asking if you enjoyed the above story in this article lols
@9 I think in the beginning I had a hard time accepting all the change. But I enjoy Spider-Man enough to have kept reading the last six years (wow, I can’t believe it’s been that long). I wasn’t a big fan of Otto being Spidey, but it’s grown on me as well.
@#8-I don’t know bro. I just do not know. Did you enjoy this story at the least?
@7 – exactly, but how can you tell someone to forget the past 20 years? I may as well burn all those issues because they mean nothing. *L*
@#6-Really it’s an entirely different continuty
@5 – I don’t think I’ll ever be able to figure out what did and did not happen in the Spider-Man universe post 1987. As far as I’m concerned, once the marriage became nullified, so did 20 years of Spider-Man. One can’t assume the same events transpired. I think that’s what annoyed me the most about the retcon.
@4-Technically it was OMIT which provided the most evidence that the pregnancy never happened and (along with bringing back Harry) did the impossible by making the Clone Saga retroactively even more confusing than it was at the time. Someone once said that saying the Clone Saga happened but there was no pregnancy is like saying the Master Planner trilogy happened but Aunt May wasn’t sick and that just about sums up the confusion
@3 – I agree as well. With the marriage undone, so was the pregnancy. But up until One More Day I had hoped Baby Parker would resurface.
@#1-In post OMD continuty it seems like she never existed which sucks but before that I totally beleived she was alive somewhere. Hell maybe she still is in 616 continuity
@#2-I only speculated that it might be JMD because with no other information to go on I just looked to the Clone Saga writers and the style of the writing sounded like JMD to me. Plus I have no idea WHO in the UK might have written it. the magazine gave no credit at all
If I had to guess, I’d imagine it was written by a UK-based freelancer rather than any of the US talent.
The lost Parker baby. That still aggravates me to this day. I’m still not convinced baby May actually died. But this is a good recap.
