Only in the 90’s could we of had a merging of Carnage and the Silver Surfer. It happened in "Amazing Spider-Man" issue 430.

Peter Parker: Spider-Man (volume 2) issue 21. Peter has always been a funny guy. He creates banter in tense situations and his battle humor has been a long staple of the Spidey books. In this […]
In this Spider-Memory we look at Transformers #3. This was released in 1984 and features Spidey freshly returned from the Secret Wars and still has the symbiote suit.
Paul Jenkins did a story after Aunt May found out Spider-Man’s identity which dealt with the ramifications of this moment.

how the hell did Carnage got freed from the prison that the surfer made of him at the end?
Marvel really knew how to dilute their characters back in the ’90’s didn’t they? But compare this lame storyline to the “Brand New Day” we’re suffering through now, and I know which one I’d pick! Who’d have thunk it that I could get misty eyed over the cranage Cosmic. Wow I’ll be getting nostalgic for the Big Wheel next.
Plus I felt cheated by the two issue arc Carnage got out of this whole thing, when it took forever to deal with his ass in the Maximum Carnage arc. I love Tom D, but that’s just weak bro.
This was one of the first Spider-Man comics I ever picked up. I was 11 or 12. Who would’ve thought Carnage would’ve ended up in space a decade later? Funny how these things come full circle
Only in the 90’s…so true yet so good…
Joe Bennett FTW…
If all he wanted was a wanton, why did he take over the power cosmic?! Jeez……
I loved those issues man.
ok that pic right there: epic win
This was also the end of Tom Defalco’s run on Amazing.
Ironically, the What If? that dealt with this issue (what if the Avengers fought him as well) was a much better story.
