“Web of Spider-Man” issue 73. Aunt May sure was lucky to get a catch like Willie Lumpkin. I wonder how she ever let him slip through her fingers.

rzerox21xx, Joy Mercado is actually still around. They are just calling her Norah Winters now.
…
Man, I actually like the cast back then, you also had the boarders in May’s house, I miss the poet guy and the bickering couple(where were they during her deaths and wedding), Kate(the tough Daily Bugle lady who was tough to please, give Pete a hard time in photography but still likiable, JJJ didn’t like Spidey that much but still calmed down compare to that raving maniac, Joy, Lance, and you have the old cast. Man, Michelle, Vin, and Lily makes me want to miss them even more. Heck Norah is getting on my nerves.
I don’t believe they ever officially split up unless my memory is being tampered with. Willie kind of got lost in the mix of “Robot Parents” “Pursuit” “Facade” and by the time May died in the clone saga there was so much going on there wasn’t really much space to squeeze him in.
How did that awesome couple split up anyways?
Willie woulda been a great new hubby for aunt may.
………………..really???
AWESOME.
Although I don’t think Conway was the one who came up with the pairing.
Absolute truth: the bad thing is, in a fit of frustration in the late 80s, early 90s, I wrote to Gerry Conway criticizing his story lines. I said that his story lines were so bad that he would probably consider pairing Aunt May up with Willie Lumpkin as a good idea. I went on to say that maybe there could be some love conflict between Doc Ock, Willie Lumpkin, and Aunt May.
Spider-Fans, I’m sorry. I had no idea that Conway would actually use it. It was sarcasm and well….I should have known better.
LOL @ the title “HEAD QUEST”. That’s a euphamism and a half…
If it weren’t for Peter being there, Willie’d be keeping his pimp hand strong.
That was bad, Spider-Girl. Bad, bad, bad. o.O
Kristy Watson moved in with Willie Lumpkin. Those damn ear wigglers always get the girl…
The early 90s, when Spider-Man was actually moving forward. I miss it.
Where the hell is Kristy Watson these days?
Oh early 90s Spider-Man, how entertaining you were.
With a name like Lumpkin, it has to be good!
