Click on the pictures for the full image. This is originally from “Amazing Spider-Man” issue 303. Peter has a job offer that would take him out of New York, and due to him being married to (or now dating) Mary Jane, his priorities have now changed.

This latest revision is from “Web of Spider-Man” issue 50. During this time period Peter and Mary Jane were living with Aunt May and her boarders. It’s a good thing Aunt May is so liberal.

So is this only going to be a once per week thing?
No problem Bertone, you are pardoned
Can we do some psychic blind spot revisions too?
looks like a pink pillow to me. Love this
These are really funny and really relevant…i like them alot…while you were doing the revisions, you may as well have edited the Reagan bit to Bush/Obama while you were at it 😉
I had to stare at MJ for a while to figure out what was going on with the art. That pink pillow that she’s holding did not look like a pink pillow!
You know what this reminds me of? Those movies shown on non-premium channels where they have to do a voice over to cover up the “naughty” stuff.
I always imagine that it’s Quesada using Liquid Paper on the panels and then typing over ’em. Heh. So the style works for me. I think that’s part of the charm.
Blame my poor image editing skills and my inferior programs (Paint).
I like how it the replacement text is so blantantly covering the words. I imagine it is narrated with Peter’s voice, then a completely different more baritone and droning voice sez “girlfriend”.
Excellent..
So funny. I can’t stop laughing whenever I see these.
