I didn’t like the spikes. Nothing more than a Wolverine copy (put claws on his hands! Spidy and Wolvie combined! Double the readers!). It would have been better to just give him vampire teeth, like Spider-man 2099.
It would make more sense if his webs was organic and if he had his spikes
AND HE’S NOT A MUTANT!!!!
Seriously? This will be just like New Avengers. Another group for Spidey to be in that will be completely separate, and have have no effect on any aspect of his life in ASM title.
Could this Spider-Man be Ben Reilly? What…, too soon?
Does it really matter? We all know that it’s nothing more than a sales pitch. Spider-man has been used as a guest star in other comics so long now, that it’s a wonder the trick still work. My guess would be for this to be nothing but another team-up. ‘Spider-man and Wolverine sells, so why not try it with the other x-men? Clearly he is popular along mutants!’ – or so the editors think.
Sorry, I’m just in a mood today (I visited the comic store, and realized it’s been over a year since I bothered buying anything from Marvel there, and that was ‘Deadpool’. Thank god for Spider-girl finaly entering the world of printed comics ones more).
Mixed feelings. Cool idea but he is already on two Avengers teams! Also, don’t really want his character to get too involved in X-Men crossover event clusterfucks.
So the new X-MEN team consists of a homo-sapien and a woman? Makes perfect sense!
On the bright side, hopefully there is a good enough rooster that I can just combine the two titles together and save me some moola. So long as Rouge gets involved, I’m sold at this point.
… so he’s quitting the New Avengers?
Or is Psylocke the next girl he’s gonna…
… you know what, nevermind. That joke’s getting old.
with the whole second coming event and the re-establishment of the original avengers and eventual restructuring of the team i figure marvel is looking to bring the x-men back into the forefront of the company and theyre using spidey to build interest. maybe we see the wallcrawler have an important role in bringing the team back to new york??
The regular X-Men title has been selling pretty far below Uncanny. I bet they’re just re-booting it with a new #1.
ugh
Say whu?
LOL Brad’s made me laugh again with his reactions.
About time! 😉
WTF indeed.
