Peter left his microscope at Uncle Ben’s grave in “Amazing Spider-Man” issue 181. This caused some continuity problems when issue 290 came out years later.

“Web of Spider-Man” issue 73. Aunt May sure was lucky to get a catch like Willie Lumpkin. I wonder how she ever let him slip through her fingers.

I realise this isn’t a very good comment but it made me smile!
The surprising thing about young fools is how many survive to become old fools. 🙂

@Two-Bit Specialist (formerly SuperChencho)
According to Stan, he’s supposed to be an attractive fella’ regardless of how mundane his civilian lifestyle was which is why he was a chick magnet back then. Of course nowadays, there are artists and writers who make him less than steller in appearance as well.
Isn’t this guy supposed to be a geek?
I love the cloud around Gwen’s feet…
Sure she doesn’t have anything to add, but Gwen gets a caption box blunt enough to kill the other love interests if she wanted…
She’s taken a vow of silence.
@Donovan Grant: Well there’s not much for Gwen to say other than “We loved each other and that lead to my death” which would bring the mood down for the page.
It’s funny how the corpse of Gwen Stacy has nothing to say about their relationship or herself. Probably because there’s not much to say.
@Jesse You have to have nice legs to fit into such tight red/blue tights…
he done changed the game
who knew peter had nice legs…..
She doesnt exsist, its a retcon of a retcon
Where’s Carlie Cooper? 😛
I am Bertrone. Leave it to be CBR to not get their facts straight. I kid though, in fact I’ve enjoyed their “Comics Should Be Good” blog for years.
The pinup is from “Amazing Spider-Man” annual 16 from 1982.
where’s this scan from Bertone? and are you Bertrone too?
Graduate school era girls. If you ain’t a Lee/Ditko/Romita supporting character you aren’t remembered..save a few survivors like Gloria Grant.
Cissy was a Marvel Team-Up girlfriend who only had a few appearances before being written off.
Marcy was a foil in the graduate school department………………who turned out to be a space alien. Yes. Really. No seriously.
In MJ’s defense, the first time he proposed was by hiding the ring in a box of Cracker Jacks…
Who the heck are Marcy and Cissy? Exactly how many love interests does this man have!?
I want Marvel to do one of these for Aunt May. Include Ben, Otto, Nathan, Willie, Jarvis and Jonah Sr.
Mary Jane’s comment is a pretty funny. Of course if they printed that now the internet would crack in half due to rage at Joey Q. lol
What’s Peter done to have all these women going gaga over him?
