  1. We didn’t like the Twilight look. He may have other looks in the film some of us do like. All we have to go on right now is that one series of pictures and, oddly enough, that’s what we were commenting on. If we had a frame of reference for his acting (i.e. if any of us had actually seen something he was in) then we’d be commenting on that more. But until then all we have to comment on is that one series of pictures. And when they release the next set of pictures we’ll talk about those as well.

  2. ^I meant his acting in previous films obviously. I think for you all to bash his twilight look is a little too much. You have no idea how the whole package works since you haven’t seen him act in the film. Maybe his clothes do work with his acting or the situation he is in. What you guys did not talk about (or i’ve heard very little) is whether the guy can act and thats when you can go watch his previous films to get at least some sense.

  3. “His acting always feels real and genuine but none of you guys ever bring that up.”

We can’t bring it up since I don’t think any of us have seen anything with him in it (I want to say Stella might have). And so far we haven’t said anything negative about his acting thus far. So yeah some of us criticized it; it didn’t seem Peter Parker-ish to some of us.

  4. I think you guys are criticizing the garfield a little too much just from seeing a few behind the scenes photos. You’ve only seen what he looks and that’s all you guys criticize about. YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MAN ACT IN THE MOVIE. And you guys dont seem to have seen any of garfields’s movies, but I think he is a good actor. His acting always feels real and genuine but none of you guys ever bring that up. Give it a break; wait for the trailer at least.

  7. Alan Moore has admitted in interviews that he doesn’t read Marvel or DC comics, and hasn’t read them in over a decade. So his opinions aren’t based on firsthand experience. These are opinions he formed a decade or two ago, and no amount of facts will change that opinion.
And secondly, should the creator of Extraordinary League of Gentlemen be the one calling out others for re-using ideas? Almost all of the characters in ELG were all created by other writers. The whole point of the comic is to re-use ideas.

  8. Why does Jason Aaron no like Alan Moore. I hope they dont make us fans choose, cause I choose Alan Moore

  9. While I still think that Emma Stone would have made a PERFECT Mj, I can accept her as Gwen too. I’m a bit disappointed but I feel like she can pull it off.
However….the first pics of Andrew Garfield have instantly got me thinking “Twilight”. I’m going to bite my tongue now since very little about the movie has been released, but if they screw up the Spider-man costume than it’s on. 😛

  10. @Tom K.W. It’s by J Scott Campbell. I know,right? I have it as my desktop background.

BD is this the first part of the January show?
