Rare 1980s Spider-Man NBC Appearance

I just found this on youtube. It was made in 1985 to promote the new Saturday morning cartoon line-up on NBC. They had Rudy from “The Cosby Show” and you had cast members from “Punky Brewster” and “The Facts of Life” in the special.
Spider-Man makes an appearance in the second video around the 3:00 min mark. Dan Gilvezan voices Spidey just like he did in “Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.” I’m sure I watched this back in the day.

  1. God I thought Dan might have sounded better when he was younger, and that it was his age that made sound goofy in spiderman web of shadows, but no, he stills sounds out of place as spidey.

  2. And uh why the hell are Kidd Video anxious to get back to the Flip Side when the whole premise of the show is to get OUT of the Flip Side?!

  3. I remember these kinds of shows. They did one with Alf called “Alf Loves a Mystery,” and I think the last one they did involved the cast of Saved By the Bell to usher in the first season.

  4. haha thats how spidey should announce himself in the comics “its NBC’s favorite superhero to save the day!”
