Well, that was fast. As you may know, Marvel vs Capcom 3 came out today, and here’s a new character trailer featuring all starting characters (the four unlockable are also briefly shown). And just when you thought the video was over, Capcom throws in a brief showcase of future DLC, including, on Capcom’s side, a Street Fighter 1 version of Ryu, a Resident Evil 1 version of Chris, a new alternate for Dante, and, on the Avengers’ side, a classic palette for Thor, an Iron Patriot alternate for Iron Man, and Steve Rogers in his Secret Avengers uniform.

What do you think? You planning on shelling out your precious cash for new costumes? I know I probably would.

I’ll pass for now. I will wait for either the “super” version or the GOTY version. That way i’ll have all the DLC 🙂

just want to correct something. That not an alternate form of Dante in that screen shot, but Virgil. Virgil is Dante twin brother.

ok so i picked up my copy at midnight played til i was “SO PRINGLES” and got my Curleh Mustache around 4 am called in sick to work and played all tuesday and now i wanna help host this crawlspace tournament i got the game on the 360 despite originally thinking id be gettin it on ps3 anyways 360 fighters wanna get “OH’d” on please look me up with this gamertag militia1989 me and my lil brother are ready to “F THE KNICKS” on any and all comers. and if anyone is serious about a crawlspace tournament i’d love to help organize something like that. and incase ur wondering wolverine, dante and akuma/or Zero (last two are interchangeable)
Actually, a lot of the alternates for Marvel characters are nods to Marvel lore (Red Hulk, Punisher Cap, Ultimate Betty Ross, X-Force Laura, M.O.D.A.M., Doom 2099). That has, in fact, been discussed a bit over at the boards. 😉
I think Marvel.com explained that Capcom couldn’t do any drastic changes to the character models, so they only get palette swaps. Of course, they went ahead and did a mask-less Steve Rogers anyway, so I don’t know anymore.
Well I guess any positive Spidey related merch is worth it.
I think it’s lame that a lot of the other marvel characters just got subtle color changes and not full costume changes. Thors alt suits should have been included, not DLC.
I will admit that I got a little carried away, but the vids have Spider-man in it, so I figured it was okay.
I feel like there’s too much of this video game on the front page. Isn’t more of what the forums are for?

Did you get this for Xbox or PS3? We should have a crawlspace tournament.
