I’m doing some changes with the Amazing Spider-Man reviewers. First I would like to welcome Donovan Morgan Grant as our newest reviewer of the title. He and Michael Bailey will give two different viewpoints on the title every two weeks.
I would also like to thank Gerard for his reviews on the title. We had a bit of a disagreement over his last two reviews and I just wanted to go in a different direction. There are no hard feelings on my part over this and I wish him nothing but the best.

Too bad I missed that review that was removed. Although I did not always agree with Gerard’s viewpoint, I found his reviews certainly worth reading every time. I hope to see his insights continue on the boards.
Good luck to Donovan. Let’s see if you can get over 200 comments on a review!
Best of luck to Donovan!
However, I always enjoyed Gerard’s reviews. Sorry to see him go. Me sad now.
Interesting… Looking forward to what Donovan has to say.
Congrats Don, I look forward to your reviews and what your SCIENCE will bring to the table. 😉
Gerard, I’ll miss the times I disagreed with your reviews but even though I didn’t agree with them, I respect you. But look on the bright side, the rest of us reviewers probably won’t break your record for comments. 🙂
Sorry to hear that Gerard, I didn’t always agree with your points but I couldn’t argue with the passion you brought to the table for the book. Best of luck to ya!
Donovan, good luck as well…I don’t read ASM, so I’m relying on you to keep me posted…heavy burden, I know…haha
Since Donovans almost done the 90’s series it probably does make sense he becomes the new reviewer since he’ll obviously have the time freed up. Also farewell to gerard reviews they werre fun while they lasted, and probably had some of the most entartaining comment sections Ive read on here as well.
I will miss Gerard’s reviews. They were a highlight, always informative and entertaining to read. Don’s a great guy though, and I wish him the best of luck.
Looks like Wacker finally won…
By the way, Gerard was one of the best and most influential reviewers on this site (look how many reviewers have put their own twist on the structure he used), and it was always impressive how much discussion he could spark. That’s not a criticism of Brads choice because I have’t read the removed review and I don’t know the circumstances that led to Gerard’s removal; I’m just saying I will miss his reviews. Don is a great choice for a replacement, though. I can’t wait to see how his style translates to ASM.
Erock, there has never been a policy on this site that says reveiwers can’t speak their mind or be as harsh as they want. I’ve been reviewing here for five years, and I have never once been asked to be more positive even though I’ve given 1s and 0s, said ASM panders to morons, and renamed a charater “skittles the penny hooker,” and Brad has not only let me continue reviewing but he has basically let me take my pick of what title I want to review.
I’m going to assume it’s because Gerard was overly and unjustifiably negative. It definitely drove up the traffic, and it was fun to read Wacker’s comments, but I think BD made the right move here.
This seems like a good call to me, best of luck to Gerard and I look forward to Donovan’s reviews.
Thanks to Gerard for his hard work and congrats to Don!
Congratulations, Donovan! Can’t wait to read what you have to say!
Sorry, my bad. I didn’t know that was the same Donovan. Thanks again.
Actually the answer to both of your questions was yes. Don has been reviewing on the site for a long time. Check out his reviews of the 90s series.

I’m assuming you’re referring to the first part of my question. Thanks for answering, Mr. Douglas. I’m sad to see Gerard go, but I like Mr. Bailey and am curious as to what “Donovan Morgan Grant” will say about the book.
Yes.
If you don’t mind my asking, sir, was the disagreement over the review that was recently posted and removed or the review that got 173 comments?
