New continuity has certainly made Betty’s ruminations from Spider-Man Unlimited issue 17 really confusing. Let’s see if we could fix that.

This scene originally played out in “Amazing Spider-Man” issue 398. I wonder if Geico will let Mary Jane include Peter on her plan if they learn they’re not married. Perhaps Peter shouldn’t be getting so […]

Dang, I didn’t even realize that was Betty at first.
Yes and comics before OMD were NEVER criticized or had complaints.
“Sure…and also this didn’t come out after OMD.”
Exactly, so it must be good!

“It is also fun to imagine the heated criticism here if we put out a Spidey comic with Betty being drawn like that.”
“Well Betty’s still got the brownish hair there. It’s not like she’s going from blonde “Hey, it’s Gwen!” hair to red “Hey look, it’s really MJ!” hair with freckles and then back and forth. Just commit! ”
Yeah and Betty has gone from short dark brown hair to medium length lighter brown hair over a thirty year period. Meanwhile Carlie has changed her look from week to week it seems like at least 9 times in three years.
Nice work Bertone, gotta love a good Baby May reference in 616!

It’s not about stirring hate, it’s about humor. You may not find it funny and honestly thats fine because humor is subjective. This isn’t complaining about a retcon, it’s having fun with it. Dan Slott said over on CBR that these are the opposite of No-Prizes because we look for mistakes rather than figuring out ways they could’ve worked. Actually that’s the point. Bottom line (to be redundant) , it’s about fun not hate.
And Wacker, draw Betty anyway you want as long as it gives me fuel for the Betty articles. Heck, one issue of Spectacular (210 I think) made her blonde.
Bertone, good find. Since I am reading some of the older ASM’s again, maybe I can some others that are worthy.
True. this was funny.
But..

I’ve missed these so much. They’re always good for a laugh. Keep ’em coming.
Whistler-Chill man, sheesh.
#11 – You mean haters like… Dan Slott? Cause he admitted he thought Spidey Revisions were funny. But don’t take *my* word for it…

So this is just to appease the haters then? Way to keep stirring that pot, after 3 years your arm must be getting tired.
I personally thought it was MJ until I read it.
@ #7-LOLZ
@#8- Think so
Oh wait was that suppose to be a dig at the “Carlie looks different every issue” crowd?
@Wacker,
It’s because she isn’t cheating on anyone in that panel.
Betty sure looks different here.
Weird.
SW
I agree with comment no. 2, but she does have some good qualities too
Oh, I’m sure Betty will find something else to get mad at Peter for right after this. It’s inevitable…
Oh I’ve missed these.
One scene of remorse doesn’t make up for decades of BS
Betty actually shows remorse and empathy here. You just hurt your case against her a little.
