Ah, Glenn Beck, I can always rely on you to restore my lack of faith in human nature.
Keep in mind, this is the same guy who said the victims in the Norway massacre were like the Hitler Youth.
@CrazyChris – You hit the nail right in the head but are you surprised there’s still people that think comic books is something you “grow out of” eventually?
I agree Chris, I don’t see why he’d care there’s some kind of “conspiracy” in a “Stupid comic book”
And George, I’ve heard Obama himself mock how big his ears are, nothing racist about it.
I don’t really like Beck’s mocking vocal impression of comic fans or how his sidekick proclaims that he’s not a “geek” in that spiteful tone. Or how they dismiss it as “just a stupid comic book” or whatever the exact words are. I’m not a fan of Ultimate Spider-Man these days but you get the sense that they don’t have much respect for the medium as a whole and only brought it up because it was an easy opportunity to pander to his audience.
I can definitely see a resemblance to Obama. Part of it’s the hair but also the way the face angles forward – and I keep thinking those ears will balloon out if the mask comes off. Sorry if that makes me a “racist” or “hater” or whatever but Obama does have big fanned out ears.
What the f-if he looks like Obama, then so do I. What, is the the short cut hair?
He KINDA looks like Obama… however, to say that somehow he influenced this decision sounds a little paranoid.
“Where the hell is the resemblance to Obama? Unless Beck is being reeeeeeaaaalllly racist and saying all black people look alike (which they don’t) I’d say he’s blind.”
I’m sure that ‘those people’ all look the same to Beck. Is he racist? I don’t know. Does he say racist things? Definitely.
*looks at new Spider-Man* Where the hell is the resemblance to Obama? Unless Beck is being reeeeeeaaaalllly racist and saying all black people look alike (which they don’t) I’d say he’s blind.
LOL, this guy is so idiotic. I have to admit I get a real kick out of him, the poster boy for right wing crazy.
I love how he’s trying really hard to remember what Michelle Obama said and then his producers just happens to be able to pull up the clip from some obscure quote. And what is his point? That the Obama administration called Marvel up and told them they need to have a half black Spider-Man. LOL Hysterical! LOVE IT!
And I don’t think he looks anything like Obama. They have a similar skin colour and short black hair, end of comparison! Facial features are not alike at all. Saying he looks like Obama is tantamount to saying all black people look alike to me.
he does look like obama.
The ‘gay’ rumor stems from something artist Pichelli said.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2021563/Marvel-Comics-reveal-new-Spider-Man-black-gay-future.html
Seeing as how Marvel just wedged two demographics into one character for headlines it’s not out of the realm of possibility for them to announce later (perhaps when they need a sales bump) that the character’s also gay. Were that to happen you will also read that from a press release first before it gets into the comic.
Add Beck to the long list of non comic readers who insist on having a negative opinion on this despite not even knowing a thing about this and acting as if he knows better than we do.
Yes Glenn Beck has guessed it. Its all a conspiracy to take over America by gay muslims. Good thing hes here to inform us
Oh Beck.
Sadly, Beck isn’t the first person I’ve seen make the comparsion to Obama. And where is he getting the gay thing from?
