1. Wacker claiming the original costume design was “the worst ever” was pretty pithy, he’s kinda crapping on someone else’s creation. He could have rest said it needed updating. but i’m not digging the redesign…..something seems off. maybe the black mask?

4. You might be on to something Enigma. The description says his costume is a mix of Venom and Spider-man. The author said that the scarlet spider book general feel will be “between amazing and venom”. Maybe the costume is a subtle homage to that.

14. Damn I’m a sucker because although the costume sucks (better than the BR one though), I’ll be buying this. Hope they make Kaine like Kaine and nit just a Ben Knock off.

15. Yost writing, so I’m checking out the first issue.
    I’d like if it wasn’t Kaine though, but I said the same about Flash being Venom and that turned out to be great…

17. The costume seems kind of uninspired at first glance, but I’m still excited for the series overall. If it is Kaine in the suit I hope he’s still Kaine and that his experiences in Spider-Island haven’t…lessened him too much.

20. As much as I want to get this, I don’t think I can fit another spider-man related book on my budget. I just hope it does not tie in that much to Amazing or I might drop ASM if I have to get this to get the whole story.

25. Is it really gonna be Kaine? If so, that’s lame. So now if that’s the case , when the comics don’t sell well, everytime “Bring back Ben” gets asked Marvel will hit us up with “We already tried to bring back the Scarlet Spider and it failed”

32. The costume seems to be more than just a hoodie now. Still getting a lot of scralet spider original costume (big spider on the chest, and of course the lot of red :p) I just wish he also had external web shooters, pouches and belt. I loved that aspect of the SS costume 🙁
    Hope it won’t be written by slott or Bendis tho.
