  1. Nice poster. Love the shadows, but the “untold” line rings hollow. Yeah, it’s technically true, but the Raimi movies were untold tales before we saw ’em.

  2. From a commercial perspective, sticking “untold” in there is a wise move. And it is untold. So fair play.

  3. Yeah, I would think the “untold” tag would be to justify why they are going back to the origin well 10 years after the start of a VERY successful franchise. It’s a mixed bag for me. I do find it annoying, but on the other hand, it reminds me of Untold Tales of Spider-Man, a title I loved. I think it’s a cool teaser image, tho.

  4. Hmm, looks like they’re trying to make this the ‘batman begins’ for Spidey, starting it from when he was a kid, and not just puny Parker in high school.
Or maybe market research is showing people think this is a cheap remix of the 1st Raimi movie so they’ve slapped ‘untold’ on the poster.

  5. It’s the untold story because they’re actually addressing Peter’s parents where as in the Rami films I don’t think they were even mentioned. Along with web shooters, Gwen Stacy as Peter’s girlfriend, and the Lizard, yes, this is an untold story of Spider-Man in cinema. I agree that they probably shouldn’t have used that line, but it’s kind of true.

  6. I don’t like “The Untold Story”, that’s just untrue. Otherwise, it’s interesting.
