Actor Asim Ahmad confirmed on his twitter account that he’ll be playing Michael Morbius in Amazing Spider-Man 2. It will be a very small role with maybe two to three minutes of screen time. What are your thoughts?

Yeah I had to look into it as soon as I saw that on his bio. Good for him, now we all know how much of a liar he is. Although, if he gets cast in the movie after this I’ll be pretty blown away. I’d eat some major crow.

Not who I would imagine for Morbius (Although I can’t say I can think of anyone at all), nor do I recognize him from anything. Apparently he’s had minor parts in a few Nolan films, but that’s it.
Whatever, at least we get Morbius in the film.

I´m also leaning towards setting him up for the third movie. They could still do Osborn in the same film. Could have Morbius be a lesser threat, maybe sent by Osborn.

Imagine it’ll just be a nudge-nudge cameo for the fans to enjoy. Might pay off in the final part of the rumoured trilogy, or maybe they’ll focus in on the Osborns for ASM3 and it’ll never go anywhere.
