@21: Okay, when you put it that way, now I HAVE to see the muppets 😀
The funny thing is he could do his “Tex Richman” rap from ‘The Muppets’ and it would still be in character for Norman Osborn.
I would be perfectly happy if Webb shocked everyone by not killing Gwen, and revealing that this was an alt Spidey universe.
@17 – Spoilers please! (haha)
Someone tell Emma that future Gwen Stacy roles might be unlikely…
@12: Of course we need to see Peter vs. Norman again. That was the entire crux of “The Night Gwen Stacy Died”.
“Maniacal Laugh…Maniacal Laugh…”
Excellent actor. Great casting. I think he’ll bring an unnerving menace to Osborn.
Isn’t that one of the guys that pissed off Jason Bourne?
I had completely forgotten about him in Bourne Identity, but it´s not strange seeing how old it actually is now. But I´ll check out Breach.
I think he’s a good actor, but I’m sick of the Osborns. Do we really need to do “Norman vs. Peter” one more time?
“He’s Tex Richman, everybody listen! Just how great it is, to be hiiiiiiiim.”
Will he have a rap number in this?
On one hand I think they are putting too many new characters in this movie and it is hard to imagine any of them getting the attention they deserve. On the other hand, the actors they’re getting are unbelievablely great. This is the best cast of any Spider-Man movie hands down.
Casting Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn is a stroke of genius–especially if these versions of the films are going for the idea of Norman Osborn as more of the unethical, dangerous businessman than the full-blown psychotic Defoe was going for. Anyone who has seen him in The Bourne Identity and Breach knows he can pull off playing someone evil and crazy without going over the top. But yeah, it’s going to be hard to try and give proper balance to these various villains given the star power and running time involved.
Watch “Breach” – great movie, great Cooper performance.
Plus he was a bad guy in the Bourne Identity.
Pual Giamatti, Jaime Foxx, Chris Cooper… They are really stacking the deck with quality actors. Andrew et al are going to have to bring their A-Game for this one.
@Brad: No I haven´t actually seen the muppets yet, but I´m thinking about it now 🙂 Gonna try and check out a couple of his other films I haven´t seen yet too, to refresh my memory of his acting skills… I tend to do that as soon as I hear new casting on upcoming movies that I want to see..
I’m totally cool with this, I think he will do a great job.
Did you see the muppets?
Has he ever played a bad guy before? I can´t remember. Was a while ago since I saw him in anything to be honest.
