During the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday morning the Spider-Man float (easily the world’s most popular float because damn, it’s Spidey) was partially deflated when a tree branch busted a hole in America’s favorite webslinger.

The incident occured after the NYPD ordered the floats to be brought down closer to street level due to high winds.

From the New York Daily News:

Only two blocks away at W. 77th St., the 78-foot-long Spider-Man balloon had to float through the 87th annual parade with a deflated arm thanks to a Central Park tree.

“It hit a tree branch. It was his left arm. And it put a big old hole in it,” said Liam Rice, 44, of Arlington, Va.

Later in the afternoon an APB was issued for Plantman who, according to an NYPD spokesperson, is wanted for questioning regarding the incident.
