This is probably the most excited I’ve been for a Spider-Man movie in a long time, everything I see looks good.
I’ve rewatched Amazing recently, and it’s grown on me a lot. If I was grading it, I’d say it’s gone from a C+ to a B. I realised I was disappointed by what it didn’t include (Jonah, MJ etc.) and have started enjoying it for what it does have (Andrew Garfield. Emma Stone etc.).
All that been said, I’m starting to dislike Avi Arad’s promotional dribble. I bet I could find him saying the exact same thing about Kirsten Dunst as he says about Emma Stone here. I’m sure it’s true, but because he has such a “Hollywood” vibe everything sounds very fake produce-speak.
End on a positive, the relationship between these two appears to be the focus, which is great and will hopefully lead to an enjoyable movie.
