I absolutely love Miles Morales. So excited to see him on TV!
@10 – Wait for the flashback where the Green Goblin knocks this universes Peter into a time dilation portal. 🙂
Wow… for the first time ever, I actually find myself liking something about this show! Glover is excellent in the role, and for once a scene actually worked! Something about it just feels more natural, and mature than what I’ve previously seen. The dialogue was genuinely funny in places, and the humor didn’t rely on any stupid cutaway gags. I’m also sort of impressed that the episode is willing to actually acknowledge what happened to Peter, as opposed to softening things for the kids.
That’s rad
I think this was actually a surprisingly good scene though I do call foul on a show that Bendis works on screwing up so much about Spider-Man EXCEPT the character he personally created and is writing right now.
Dag d*** typos…
Rejoice, Glover petitioners! Your day has come!
@4 – It’s been a while since I read the mini, so I could be wrong. But I think some of this dialogue is lifted verbatim from the Spider-Men crossover, I certainly felt like I’d heard some of it before.
Who wrote this episode? It sounds like Bendis dialogue. It definitely has that Ultimate Comics feel. Loved the line about his age and how he’s almost 14 (in 11 months). Can’t wait to see it!
I hate this show but this scene was actually pretty good
Oh, awesome!
I think he sounds pretty great actually, even reminds me a bit of a more jovial Josh Keaton at times. I’m glad they didn’t give Miles a stereotyped “black kid” accent.
