  1. Hopefully that’s not a solicit typo and Coipel is coming back to Spider-Verse for the final issue. Was disappointed to see him replaced for pts 4 and 5. Not because Camuncoli isn’t a strong artist, but Coipel’s stuff for the first two issues has been great.

  2. @10 ~ It’s really annoying that it seems although Otto is the real main character of Spider-Verse. If he wanted it to be an Otto story, Slott should have just brought Pete back at the conclusion of Spider-Verse.

  3. I’m banking on a time skip. Peter’s return from Spider-Verse causes him to come back a few months down the road, which will allow Slott to repeat the same storytelling gimmick he did back during the Macroverse arc.

  4. Goddammit really? They actually called it ‘Spider-Gwen’?
@#1-Because her debut was awesome and thank God Otto is going the fuck away

@#2-Er…no. Spider-Gwen actually WAS demanded by the fans. Hell she was being demanded by the fans BEFORE her debut issue. She doesn’t deserve to be lumped in with Silk at all.

Like many recent solicits notice how jack shit about Peter Parker has been mentioned because screw that guy obviously

  5. Count me among those excited for a Spider-Gwen book. I would be even more excited if it wasn’t called “Spider-Gwen,” though. Terrible title.

  6. The Webwarriors thing is laughable.

$9.99?! With freaking screenshots of USM season three! Bwahaha!!

“Based on the smash hit Disney XD animated series.” You know, that smash hit that just got cancelled. *cough*

  7. Honestly, I can’t see myself buying a Silk comic. I say that book will last around as long as New Warriors did. But, lets be honest….we got Silk, Spider-woman(which last I heard still has Silk in it) and Spider-Gwen(The world’s worst comic title ever). I’ll be sticking with Amazing, Ultimate Spider-man and Spider-man 2099 for the time being. I do agree with @1 and @4 that the ending will go directly to Superior number 19 and will even show that exact scene from a different prospective. But, lets not forget….Dr. Ock’s body is missing in the grave, so he will be back anyway.

  8. @1&4 – To be fair to Marvel (for once). Since Edge of Spider-Verse #2 there has been a considerable amount of fans clamoring for a Spider-Gwen book. I’m just sad that it looks like Noir isn’t going to get another solo mini.

  9. If you want to release this many Spidey books marvel..WHY DO YOU PRICE THEM AT 3.99 AND WHY IS THAT AWFUL WEBWARRIORS IS 2.99?!!! Are we saying that in terms of quality and work done that Webwarriors is only a dollar off?! Marvel, Like Seriously, how do they expect us to buy any of the new character’s books if they cost over 20 bucks combined for just Amazing,2099,silk,Gwen,Miles,and SpiderWoman. You just need a bargain Spiderman title for at least a dollar or 2. It doesn’t need the prettiest or most superb art, just a good story is all Im asking. Is that so hard?

  10. @#1 –
Didn’t you hear? EVERYBODY wants to see more Spider-Gwen, just the same way everybody demanded more Silk, and more Alpha before that…and by “everybody”, they mean Marvel editorial.

  11. Regarding #2, I meant to say that SpOck UNINTENTIONALLY sacrifices himself by getting banished with the Inheritors. Sorry.

  12. Possible Spider-Verse Ending?

When all looks bleak, SpOck unleashes a plan to sacrifice himself to banish the Inheritors to someplace outside of the timestream. Spock however gets cut off from the other Spiders, and is locked in mortal combat with Morlun and company. When all looks bleak, the now-freed Master Weaver sends SpOck back to Earth 616, to appear just in time for the end of issue 19 to utter those famous words, “–I’ll find a way! You haven’t heard the last of Doctor WHAT?! Where am I?”

I think that the solicitations and SSM #19 are pretty much telegraphing the ending.

    Thoughts?

  13. Wait! No SpOck ongoing series?!? Doesn’t bode well for Otto….. Darn it! I’m not too keen on the other new ongoings because 1) Silk is already overused and too powerful for my taste as she keeps out-performing Peter, and 2) how can anyone be demanding Spider-Gwen when we have only seen her in 2 books?
