Motley Fool has an interesting article up about how Sony and Disney can both win by sharing Spider-Man at the movies. They make an interesting point how Sony is loosing interest in the character in the USA.

Such a shame..but its really surprising that interest in Spidey didn’t increase for Spiderman 2 but actually went down.Especially since that movie was hyped as can be when I was a kid. I mean almost anything you could buy at the time had the Webhead on it like Fruit,Veggies,and even exercise equipment!!
ASM 1 was redundant, and 2 was flawed in lots of ways. So no wonder the profits are off.
I like how the international performance peaked with Spider-Man 3, though at least the Amazing movies have been holding up well overseas. For the US, though… yeah, that’s where they’ll need Disney.
