You know… it would be really funny to see if Renew Your Vows Actually sales way more better that it surpasses other titles, The Clone Conspiracy, and Even Amazing Spider-Man itself. Like how Ultimate Spider-man did back than.
Waid’s All-New, All Different Avengers is ending and rebooting with a new number one? What a dick move.
Further proof that Marvel doesn’t know what the hell they’re doing … ASM is a tie-in to a story taking place in a mini-series.
Mattie Franklin was a teenager and ward/niece/? of Jonah who got involved in The Gathering of Five ceremony where everyone got a “gift” but some gifts were bad (insanity and death). Mattie got power so when Peter quit being Spidey after that story and we got the Mackie/Byrne reboot, there was a Spider-Man running around but it wasn’t Peter. I think the “mystery” only lasted for 2 issues until we found out the new Spidey was Mattie. She later became Spider-Woman and had an 8-issue (?) series written by Byrne. She infamously kissed Peter after MJ was thought to have blown up in a plane and died because she thought “it was meant to be” (I think she’s 13 in that story – ugh!). After that, my knowledge of her is fuzzy, but from the podcast I think that Bendis had her in his Alias series where she got hooked on drugs, or become a prostitute, or both, and she overdosed and died. I’m not sure if Jonah ever mentioned her death.

My thoughts:
Slott never did any good work on Superior and it needs to be forgotten
Eddie Brock needs to be Venom
Bendis Iron Man has been build up to this i.e. a waste of time
HOORAY we’re farming out classic Spider-Man villains to other characters now we can get ANOTHER Hobgoblin mystery
Hey Jameson is gonna acknowledge his adopted daughter for the first time in six years!
Miles is a good character but Bendis work on it and every other title he writes sucks because he sucks as a writer. His GotG is especially betrayal
I sub to Spidey, Renew Your Vows looks promising to me.
Wayne Brady might be good reading…we’ll see.
Something to consider – possibly using a darker color for the headers. The yellow looks good on the dark background, but when reading in my e-mail, the yellow is very hard to read.
