  1. I truly love your blog.. Great colors & theme. Did you make this amazing site yourself?
Please reply back as I’m attempting to create my own personal website
and want to know where you got this from or what the theme is named.
    Thank you!

  2. Spider-Man isn’t taking on Ultimate Spider-Man’s numbering. It’s taking on Spider-Man/Peter Parker: Spider-Man’s numbering.

  3. Over/under on when Marvel goes back to issue #1 on each series? I say, right after Amazing Spider-Man 800 and SSM #300.

  4. natshuck44 :
    You are probably correct.
If so it is a ridiculous numbering reconstruction. Renew Your Vows is not in the same Universe with the Amazing Spider-Man run.
More important, it is not even in the same filing cabinet.

  5. Amazing Spider-Man (700 issues between volumes 1 and 2, 18 in volume 3, and 32 in volume 4), plus 33 issues of Slott’s Superior Spider-Man that temporarily replaced Amazing Spider-Man, and the five-issue Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows miniseries

    ASM (vols.1&2) 700
    Superior Spider-Man (2013) 33
    ASM (vol.3 2014) 18
ASM: Renew Your Vows (2015) 5
    ASM (vol. 4 2015) 32

    788

  6. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN LEGACY NUMBERS take two:
To get to 788 issues released before new announced Legacy number of 789:

Amazing Volumes 1 and 2 straight numbers 700
Amazing Volume 3 straight numbers 18
Amazing Volume 4 announced through Sept 13,2017 release 32
    So straightforward legacy numbering is (700 + 18 +32) = 750

Since this is WAY short of the announced number, add in:
Superior Spider-Man including two late ones ( 33)
    which gets to 783.

    Not yet included:
Vol 2 – early Point Ones (3) didn’t really have Spider-Man in them, and were not counted before #700
Vol 2 – 700.1 to 700.5 (5) late maybe this is considered an imaginary story
    Vol 3 Spiral – 16.1 to 20.1 (5)
    Vol 4 Amazing Grace – 1.1 to 1.6 (6)

So Include Spiral to get to the required (783 + 5) = 788

Not sure what the rationale to include Spiral without including Amazing Grace would be, except that Spiral was the ONLY Amazing Spider-Man comic published dated Aug, Sept, or Oct 2015 .

If they had included Amazing Grace (6) and thrown in Vol 2 700.1 to 700.5 (5) for good measure then the number of previously released issues would have been (788 + 6 + 5 ) = 799 and they could have called the first Legacy Number 800, but they must not have wanted to do this for some reason.

Of course this whole analysis falls apart if the Amazing Spider-Man comic to be released in October 2017 turns out to be ASM Vol 4 # 33, rather than ASM #789.

    Cheers

  7. AMAZING — It looks like they are going to count SUPERIOR. Also either 700.1 through 700.5, or the three earlier Point One issues, but not all of these.

  8. AMAZING -Looks like they are going to count Superior Spider-Man. Also either ASM 700-1 through 700.5, or the three earlier Point 1 issues., but not all of these.

  9. I got excited when I saw the Spider-Man titles and thought, “Wow! They are bringing back adjectiveless Spider-Man! and then I realized that it was Miles Morales, which while not a bad thing, not what I was hoping for.

  10. All I know is that I live in a world where Spectacular Spider-Man #300 will exist so I’m happy

  11. Okay, I’m a little confused here. WHAT is this?!!

Is MARVEL LEGACY supposed to happen after Secret Empire finishes? So it’s Secret Empire, then Marvel Legacy #1, then the Generations, then each book going off to it’s original numbering and from now on be called Marvel Legacy?

Is this Marvel’s answer to DC’s Rebirth (which I’m loving btw, AND I’M A SPIDER-MAN FAN.)? So it’s going to continue on with what we’ve been reading, but getting “back to basics”? I..I just don’t get it. I need some clarification on what exactly this is.

ASM: Renew Your Vows: EIGHT YEARS LATER. So…is that arc just a one shot or is this going to be the established path this book will take from now on? Still looking forward to it, RYV is the best Spidey book out there, just would like some clarification on what “MARVEL LEGACY” is.

    Please and Thank You!
