  1. I really like the way Romita Jr drew Venom, it’s a departure from the usual hulking look, but I think it looks quite creepy, especially with the massive hands. I like the way he was written too (surprisingly, considering how bad the writing generally was at this point), he seemed like the nasty creep he started out as, which was really refreshing after the lethal protector nonsense (though they did seriously nerf him by making his fire weakness so bad that he could be beaten by a lighter!)
