I feel like Peter’s occasionally terrible temper is a major element of the character that people tend to forget about, even after he started to become more of the nice guy people know him as, he had a lot of moments like this where he lost control. Another good example is shoving Wolverine out a window for insulting MJ.
The comics are full of times Peter where Peter uses his strength against Flash, but since Flash always sees him as “Puny Parker”, that 15-year-old wallflower, he always puts it off to adrenaline or a fluke.
Flash never wondered about puny Parker being able with one arm to lift Flash’s entire body into the air at a 45-degree angle.
I hope Peter thanked Flash for his service after this.
