    @Matt: Yeah, Wein was continuing where Conway left off with their relationship, but threw a few hurdles in there that started to complicate things. It’s interesting to think about.

  2. Boy I can see what Gerry Conway had left after his first run end with Amazing 149 (volume 1). Other writers were left with the on and off and mostly unknown relationship between Peter and Mary Jane. I’m betting that this was Queasda’s first look at the character as a man child was, when in reality Wein was trying to help more with Peter’s family problems first and foremost.

  3. Wow, Felicia has nearly the same response in Panel of the Day #580. No wonder Peter was always torn between them.
