I like how Peter is upset over his glasses, but then thinks that he doesn’t need them anymore since he got his powers so it’s more of the principle of his glasses being broken, and not that something he needs in his day-to-day life was broken by Flash.
I like to think that Ditko was tired of drawing Peter with glasses so he just drew this, and Stan had to come up with a reason for why the glasses were gone.
