Happy Holidays, Spidey fans! I hope that after the year we’ve all had, that your holidays are filled with much love, comfort and joy as we move into 2021. For this installment of your monthly Spider-Tracer article, I thought we’d take a look back at ten of the best Spider-Man ornaments to have come out over the years. So sit back and break out the spider-nog (actually, don’t… that sounds kinda gross), we’re about to kick things off with…
- Venom
This might be a bit of a cheat, but he is a major Spider-Man character, and has been for over 30 years. And just look at him; he looks so cool! This 2016 Hallmark Keepsake ornament looks, to me, like he stepped right off of Mark Bagley’s drawing board. Of course, I’d consider this more along the lines of his current rendition of Venom, not his 90s artwork. But he still looks great, and I definitely consider this a must have. He’ll look great chasing after number one on this list.
- “Amazingly Loyal” Spider-Man Pet Ornament
How neat is this?! Do you have a pet you just absolutely love? What better way to honor them than with this awesome Spider-Man picture frame pet ornament? You can currently find this Hallmark ornament on places like Chewy.com and Amazon for about $10.
- “Spider-Man 3” Black Costume Spider-Man
Yeah, we know that “Spider-Man 3” isn’t the exactly best Spider-Man movie out there (nor is it the worst, in this writer’s opinion), but this 2007 Hallmark Keepsake ornament is, to my knowledge, the only black costume Spider-Man ornament Hallmark ever made. I guess they feel that the reds and blues look a little more eye-catching on a tree. But hey, he does look pretty neat swinging around on the tree! So if you’re looking for something truly unique to hang up, this one’s for you.
- Kurt Adler Blown Glass Spider-Man Ornament
If you’re a fan of the blown glass look, then this 2003 Kurt Adler Spider-Man ornament is right up your alley! The colors really pop on this guy, and with his blown glass appearance, he’ll really stand out in your display.
- Spider-Gwen
Looks like Hallmark put out this Spider-Gwen ornament in 2018, and I think it just might be her only ornament to date. So if you’re looking to add a bit of a Spider-Verse to your tree, this ornament is one you can’t go without.
- Amazing Fantasy #15
Hey Brad, did you ever end up getting this one? Our own Brad Douglas posted about this ornament back when it came out in 2009, and, honestly, who could pass up a chance to put Spider-Man’s first appearance on your tree? It looks, dare I say it, quite amazing!
- MCU Iron Spider
Sometimes, you want the really rare one, and this shiny ornament is no exception! With this ornament a 2019 SDCC exclusive, be prepared to pay a pretty penny for Spidey’s suit from “Infinity War” and “Endgame”.
- Slinging and Swinging Spider-Man (reflective window)
If you’re looking for an ornament with a really great action feature, than look no further! Press the button on this 2016 Hallmark ornament, and the Green Goblin appears as a reflection in the window to terrorize our masked hero! You can see why this ornament remains a highlight on my tree every year.
- Spider-Man vs the Green Goblin
Action is his reward, and it doesn’t get much more action-packed than this one! This 2009 Hallmark is a great companion piece to the 2016 window ornament and it just looks phenomenal! I keep hoping for another one to come out in a similar style, but with Spidey battling a classic looking Doc Ock; I’d grab one of those in a heartbeat.
- Spider-Man
Ahhh, my first Spider-Man ornament, and still a classic centerpiece on my tree every year since Hallmark released it in 1996. He just looks so natural and really captures the character’s essence so, so well. Each web-line hooks to a branch, as does his head for extra support. If you don’t already own this ornament, do yourself a favor and pick him up; no Spider-Man fan should be without him.

@JRT! and Bill — That’s awesome! Thanks for posting those links. What I’d like are some Spider-man-related “stars” to put on the top of the tree. I tried to put the swinging Spidey I mentioned below on the top of the tree one year, but as you might guess, it didn’t work out so well.

Hey, there it is! Yeah, I probably should have put it on here as an honorable mention or something, but ah well. That’s a really great price on it, and I have to highly recommend it for anyone that doesn’t currently own it.

I mean, there’s not much that can compete with that catchy tune. I keep hoping Disney+ puts the show on since, last I checked, Buena Vista owned the show, and Buena Vista is owned by Disney.
And it is; it was quite close to making my list, too.
@Bill — It might be sacrilege to say, but, honestly, I think I prefer the ’67 theme song to most Christmas carols. That sounds like a great ornament!

That’s a pretty cool one! I have one of Spider-Man hanging upside down, and I think that one plays the ’67 theme song. I’ll be pulling it out soon and have to check.
The Spider-man ornament I used to have was a simple figure like your Number 1 above, but he’s swinging two-handed in a pose similar the one in the 60s cartoon when he is headed straight towards the camera. Unfortunately I was unable to find an image via Google, but that showed me that there are some really excellent ornaments out there!
