That’s sorta true. I think this speaks to Cooke’s partnership with J. Bone, as well as his desire to get the issue out faster. To get a comic out by Christmas, certain deadlines need to be hit.
Plus, New Frontier would come out within a year and that whole mini-series was 300+ pages, so other stuff was cooking (I admit the bad pun.)
It seems kind or rare that someone would write an issue and ink it but not draw it. Writer/artist – sure. Writer/inker – when does that happen?
