Read’s Reads Amazing Spider-Man #48 and Ultimate Spider-Man #4

Ultimate Spider-Man 4 Review

I review the conclusion of the Chasm/All Hallow’s Eve story arc in the main Amazing title by Zeb Wells and Todd Nauck. Before I zip on over to review the latest issue of Ultimate Spider-Man. While there is a sense of balance and some much better resolution with Ben Reilly over in Amazing. Ultimate continues to hit not only all the right notes, but show that an entire character issue still at the heart of Spider-Man.

  1. Regarding Peter’s connection to the Winkler Device, this is a new development so that’s why it hasn’t been mentioned before. It’s the introduction of a new mystery – “Has Peter had the WD used on him, and if so, how and why?”

I have no problem with Queen Goblin being able to manipulate Ben and Janine. She *is* a therapist – or at least, the clone of a therapist. She would know how to manipulate people.

And it seems in character that the Sinister Six would want revenge on The Living Brain. They (especially Doc Ock) would not take kindly to being taken prisoner and used in TLB’s plan back in #900. This would be the exact sort of thing they would want revenge about.
