It is with deep sadness that I must report on the passing of former Spider-Man writer, Gerry Conway, as reported by his friend and fellow Spider-Man writer, Marv Wolfman. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
Gerry left an indelible mark on the character of Spider-Man, thanks to runs on “The Amazing Spider-Man”, “The Spectacular Spider-Man”, “Web of Spider-Man”, and the “Superman vs The Amazing Spider-Man” special. Gerry co-created such Spider-Man characters as the Punisher, Tombstone, the Tarantula, Man-Wolf, the Jackal, Hammerhead, Ben Reilly (as he was later known), the Grizzly, Mindworm, the Lobo Brothers, Kristy Watson, Glory Grant, and plenty more! Gerry also had runs at DC Comics featuring the Justice League, Batman, Wonder Woman, and numerous others. What are some of your favorite Gerry Conway stories and memories? Let us know in the comment section below…

Without this man’s remarkable work, we wouldn’t have part of the Spider-Man historical milestones we all know, admire, and respect to this day.
Thanks for all the great work, Mr. Conway. May you rest in peace.
To me 73 seems like a young age to pass away.
R.I.P.
My favorite stories were his ASM run and Parallel Lives.
