  1. “Has Carlie Cooper figured out the Superior Spider-Man’s secret identity?”

    ……..

Does anyone really care *what* that pasteboard Mary Sue does? I was really hoping that we’d seen the last of her.

  2. @3 Not everything is a conspiracy designed to “force something down our throats”. The logical reason to put the new Spidey in JIM is to try and get Spidey fans to check out JIM and maybe stay on afterwards. That’s the usual reason for a high-selling character starring in a low-selling book.

  3. So it sounds like Venom’s move to Philadelphia is going to be inspired by his job taking him there, and he presumably likes the place.

Enjoy Secret Avengers while you can, because as far as we can tell, Venom won’t be in the book once that gets relaunched, making Thunderbolts his other home for good.

I like the look of Ultimate Venom more than 616 Venom, but that’s probably because of Pichelli.

The Superior Spider-Man hates kids? MAN, THIS NEW GUY IS SO DARK AND WEIRD. As for his cameo in Journey Into Mystery, meh. I can accept his cameo in Daredevil because of how closely related the two heroes have been, but I don’t see any real precedence for including the Superior Spider-Man in JIM beyond trying to live up to the promise that whatever happens in 700 will have a seismic change on the Marvel Universe. Maybe they’re trying to build up to something? I guess we’ll get an idea once the March or April solicits come out.

  4. That cover is lovely but it does remind me of a quote from an ASM issue in the 90s.

“I’m bat-ma… oh wait that’t the other guy.”

  5. Shit!! I want to get excited about superior but i want to know who he is under the mask for sure!!!!!
