This was an ad that was sent to comic shops to promote the Spider-Man/ Batman team up. I’ve never seen this image before, but it’s a classic from Mark Bagley. I recently found this on an ebay auction.

Brad created the Crawlspace back in 1998 while attending college at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He’s the webmaster and writes front page news items, and also produces, hosts and edits the podcast. He’s been collecting Spider-Man comics since the age of three and is a life-long fan of the webhead. His website has been featured in USA Today, Entertainment Weekly and on Marvel.com and inside the comics themselves. The Crawlspace is one of the first Spider-Man fan sites to ever hit the internet. Millions of people visit the site every year.
Brad has interviewed several “Spider-Celebrities” over the years including co-creator Stan Lee. He’s also interviewed actors who have portrayed Spider-Man like Paul Soles (Voice Actor from the 67 Spider-Man Cartoon), Dan Gilvezan (Spidey Voice Actor from Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends) ,Yuri Lownthal (Voice Actor from the Spider-Man PlayStation game) and Nicholas Hammond (Spider-Man 1977 Actor).
Today is marks the 30th anniversary of ASM #299, the first time Venom was fully revealed to us. What better time could there be to bite the bullet and start to address the biggest criticism […]
Check out this fun house ad for the Spider-titles circa the 1980’s.

I remember Batman defeating Carnage a little too easily.
Never seen this before!!!
I recently reread this since I’m working a fan fiction thing that involves Carnage. Still holds up fairly well.
Just checked my database. I do own it. I probably would have recognized it more from the the cover.
Thanks for the information. I’ll add it to my list of back issue purchases.
Yeah, this one-shot was the shit. I wish Marvel / DC would re-release it, packaged along with the DC comics sequel by Doug Moench. I never got to read that one.
@Jason – It was called “Spider-Man and Batman” on the cover but inside it was titled “Disordered Minds.” I recommend tracking it down. There’s some 90s dark weirdness but overall it was a fun book, beautifully drawn by Bagley.
Here’s the cover: http://66.media.tumblr.com/69f21d89a20ce0cd9addaffa90194b67/tumblr_mih3kkQOyj1rvkwl5o1_1280.jpg
Is this something that was already released? I don’t think I remember a comic with Batman, Spider-Man, Joker, and Carnage. What’s the title?
