During 1984’s SECRET WARS, Deadpool was introduced to an alien symbiote who went on to become Spider-Man’s black costume and, eventually, Venom. OK, OK, maybe that really happened in DEADPOOL’S SECRET SECRET WARS. Point is, did you know that after Spider-Man rejected the costume… it went slinking back to Deadpool on the rebound? And they went on adventures together? You didn’t? Well, you will, now, thanks to this series by Cullen Bunn (The DEADPOOL KILLOGY) & Salva Espin (DEADPOOL & THE MERCS FOR MONEY)!

  1. Isn’t it nice that they featured Mayday on a cover of the series she’s been in for almost every issue…when the series comes to an end

  2. @Jason – 6 and 7 were not written by Joe Kelly and I think McGuiness only added with the pencils on 6 at least. Omitting the two issues keeps the book feeling more like a graphic novel. Sucks but that’s how they roll these days.

  3. Is the Deadpool Back in Black a mini-series?

Anyone have a clue why Marvel omits issues from trade paperbacks? (ie Vol 1 of Deadpool/Spider-Man missing issues 6 and 7)
