It is with deep sadness that I must report on the passing of former Spider-Man writer, Gerry Conway, as reported by his friend and fellow Spider-Man writer, Marv Wolfman. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
Gerry left an indelible mark on the character of Spider-Man, thanks to runs on “The Amazing Spider-Man”, “The Spectacular Spider-Man”, “Web of Spider-Man”, and the “Superman vs The Amazing Spider-Man” special. Gerry co-created such Spider-Man characters as the Punisher, Tombstone, the Tarantula, Man-Wolf, the Jackal, Hammerhead, Ben Reilly (as he was later known), the Grizzly, Mindworm, the Lobo Brothers, Kristy Watson, Glory Grant, and plenty more!
