  1. Also, I’m calling that Quesada couldn’t leave Carlie out of the Amazing Spider-Man line for too long, and 16.1-.5 is going to be her return. Anybody else wanna place bets?

  2. @6- Actually, if Slott’s and Ramos play their cards right, this could actually turn out okay for an after-Slott-Event cool down.
Also, Clayton’s expression is more likely ours when we look at Ramos’ expository scenes.

  3. Interested in the new Conway story, it’ll be nice to see Spider-Man actual tackle some street crime after all the universe hopping and body-swapping shenanigans of the past few years. 2099, USM, and Spider-Gwen are all looking good too.

  4. ASM #16: It’s a zombie or some other undead foe. Maybe the return of Digger from JMS’ run or Otto’s corpse. Also, check out Clash’s “…da hell?”-face as opposed to Peter, Anna, and Sajani’s terrfied countanences.

2099: Hope Miggy ends up going back to the past after fighting Maestro.

  5. Anyone know how many TPBs the Complete Alien Costume Saga is supposed to span? I love these collections, having collected the Clone Saga and Ben Reilly Epic ones previously. Wondering if it’s going to be in the 5-6 books range like those.

  6. I’m only interested in Spider-Gwen and 2099. I’m not even entertaining the Conway story because it’s more of the current Spider-Man status quo BS. Even if it will be written better probably. Also yeah We basically had filler from ASM #1 until Spider-verse and then we’re gonna have filler from the end of Spider-Verse until Renew your vows. and then after that who knows

  7. I’m not interested in Parker Industries filler.
Gerry Conway’s story looks like has potential to be a great story.

  8. Big surprise- after Spider-Verse we’re still getting no headway on certain other storylines, and more filler with Parker Industries.

Which isn’t a surprise, I guess. Marvel is heavily promoting the main Marvel line at this point, given that they gave the sneak previews to the Avengers line. But still, it’s a little frustrating that the Spider-Books are spinning their wheels before heading into Renew Your Vows.

And- as an aside- that Amazing Spider-Man #16 cover is just ugly.

  9. Looks like it will be a downtime/potential filler period for ASM heading into May, probably for the best so people can put Spider-Verse into perspective. Good to see Bendis is keeping the Ultimates in the spotlight now that USM is the only game in town.
